The federal government will give $906,511 to the Akron International Chemical Workers Union for worker education and training at the nationís nuclear weapons complex.

The union will develop programs to train and educate workers involved in training hazardous materials and waste generation, removal, containment, transportation and emergency response within the Department of Energy Nuclear Weapons Complex.

The money comes from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, U.S. Rep Tim Ryan (D-Niles) announced.
