Innis Maggiore, a public relations agency in Jackson Township, took home the Best of Show and one of three Judge’s Awards at the 2012 Canton ADDY Awards.

Innis Maggiore also won nine Gold ADDYs, sweeping the Canton Advertising Federation’s annual awards.

The local awards are the first of the three-tiered national competition by the American Advertising Federation. The Canton chapter’s awards were given in various categories, including advertising, collateral, mixed/multiple media, and public service.

The Canton chapter’s awards presentation was last week at the Krassas Event Center in Canton. (The Akron chapter’s awards will be given Friday.)

• Communications Exhibits Inc. — Interactive business-to-business trade show exhibit “ThyssenKrupp Elevator Interactive Virtual Navigation (IVN)” for ThyssenKrupp Elevator Co.

GOLD AWARDS:

• Innis Maggiore (nine gold awards)

Gold ADDY winners move on to regional competition for best advertising in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.

The Akron chapter of the American Advertising Federation will award its 2012 ADDYs on Friday at the Akron Urban League. Gold winners at this event also will move on to the regional contest.
