MASSILLON —Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations, a Houston-based gas and oil service provider could invest $564 million in the state, including a new, $40 million facility in Massillon that would be home to 900 new full-time jobs within three years.
Baker Hughes, ranked 170th on the Fortune 500 in 2011, is in negotiations with state, county and city officials to locate a major facility on a 108.5-acre parcel just south of U.S. Route 30 in the Northeast Ohio Commerce Park in Massillon. The company has looked at sites in other states.
