A new community news and information website CuyahogaFalls.Ohio.com will launch on Thursday.

The site will be produced through the existing site at www.ohio.com and backed by the Akron Beacon Journal.

Content publisher for Ohio.com, Deanna Stevens Ulrich, said that the new site is being designed to be the source for Cuyahoga Falls news and information.

Stories and information will be produced by the staff of the Beacon Journal and its Ohio.com affiliate as well as Cuyahoga Falls residents, community officials and correspondents.

Among other features, the website will include:

A news blog produced by a correspondent dedicated to Cuyahoga Falls;

Local news and sports stories from the Akron Beacon Journal newsroom;

Stories submitted by community residents.

Links to other websites of interest to Cuyahoga Falls residents.

In addition, Stevens Ulrich said, local businesses will have the opportunity to share community events related to their operations.

The Beacon Journal said it will review all submissions before they are posted online.

The Beacon Journal said www.ohio.com has about 788,000 visits in any given month.

Photos and video also may be added to the Cuyahoga Falls site by clicking on a link called UPublish and following instructions.
