Akron-based marketing and advertising firm WhiteSpace Creative has named a new creative director.

Eric Jacobs has been promoted to creative director from associate creative director. Jacobs has been in the advertising industry for more than 20 years in different capacities and has serviced several major brands including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Clinic, Sherwin-Williams and Target.

"Eric embodies our goal for company-wide collaboration, trust and accountability,” said Keeven White, president and founder of WhiteSpace Creative. “His work over the years has earned him this position, and we are confident he can take our creative vision to the next level.”

Jacobs’ new responsibilities will also include the day-to-day functions of interacting with clients, the account staff and the creative team to help bring WhiteSpace Creative’s strategic marketing plans into big ideas.

Jacobs is a graduate of The University of Akron, and earned a BFA with honors in graphic design.
