The Browns made Heisman Trophy-winning Oklahoma University quarterback Baker Mayfield the first pick in Thursday night’s NFL Draft. Mayfield, who led Oklahoma to the College Football Playoff as a senior, is expected to begin the season as a backup to starter Tyrod Taylor. The Browns then chose Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward, a former Nordonia High School star, with the fourth pick in the first round.
