An Akron man pleaded guilty Tuesday afternoon to charges stemming from the stabbing death of his elderly mother last May. Michael Gleisinger pleaded guilty under an agreement with prosecutors to reduced charges of involuntary manslaughter and failure to provide for a functionally impaired person. Gleisinger, 49, will be sentenced by Summit County Common Pleas Judge Alison Breaux at 1 p.m. June 26. He could receive up to 11 years in prison for the involuntary manslaughter charge and 11 months on the failure to provide charge.
