Who says the Akron Public Schools are slow to adapt to new ways?
The district considered a number of options for making up snow days, from adding to the school year to extending the school day to giving students take-home assignments in “blizzard bags.” In the end, the school board opted to give students individualized, on-line instruction. Those without a computer at home will get access to one before, during and after school hours.
Who knows? A whole generation of telecommuters may be in the making.
