Watch NFL Draft Day at local bars, partake in Brown Backers tailgate

It’s NFL Draft Day at last. Go to one of the many (OK, any of the) bars in the area and watch your Cleveland Browns possibly end their two-decade streak of terrible draft decisions, and then have a memorial drink for the poor young quarterback whose nascent career the team is about to ruin. For even more immersion, Browns Backers are throwing a tailgate party beginning at noon in the Muni Lot, in the shadow of the Factory of Sadness.

NEA Big Read keynote in Massillon

Artist Charles Vess, who has worked with Neil Gaiman, Marvel and DC, gives the NEA Big Read keynote talk at 7 p.m. at Lions Lincoln Theatre, 156 Lincoln Way E, Massillon. He created illustrations for the upcoming 50th anniversary version of Ursula K. Le Guin’s Wizard of Earthsea compilation, which are on view at the Massillon Museum.
