BARBERTON: Labor Day celebrations will light the skies and fill the air with sounds of the '50s and '60s as Barberton prepares to celebrate Sunday.
The Van-Dells will perform to kick off the weekend at 7 p.m. at Lake Anna Park, followed by fireworks.
Festivities will continue Monday as the Kiwanis Club of Barberton holds the Labor Day Pancake Breakfast from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Augustine Hall in downtown Barberton.
Tickets for the breakfast are available at the door for $6 and $3. Proceeds will benefit local youth and community activities.
The Labor Day parade begins at 10 a.m., followed by parade awards at 12:30 p.m.
The parade route will follow Wooster Road to 8th Street on to West Park, around Lake Anna Park to 6th Street.
