This is a movie that has been on the shelf for awhile. Stow's John Magaro, who has a supporting role, told me that he had worked with Gandolfini in this before making "Not Fade Away," the screen drama written and directed by David Chase. When we talked in January, Magaro summed up the "Down the Shore" situaton as  "sort of in the void of movies that haven’t come out."
