Boston Mills Artfest

The Boston Mills ski area in northern Summit County will host the 45th annual Boston Mills Artfest this weekend.

The event with about 140 artists will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at 7100 Riverview Road.

Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens and students 13 to 21. Those 12 and under are free.

There will also be a preview event for adults only from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $54 in advance and $64 on the day of the event and include wine, snacks and music.

Park concert — Shooter Sharp and the Shootouts with Ryan Humbert will perform at 7 p.m. in a free concert of honky-tonk country music at Goodyear Heights Metro Park, 2077 Newton St., in East Akron. Presented by the city of Akron.

Beaver Marsh hike — The National Park Service is presenting a hike at the Beaver Marsh at 11 a.m. in the Cuyahoga Valley. Meet at the Ira Trailhead off Riverview Road north of Ira Road in Cuyahoga Falls. 330-657-2752.

Archery fun — Summit Metro Parks is holding an archery program for youngsters 9 to 15 years old from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the archery range at Silver Creek Metro Park.
