Factory of Terror — 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 29; 6 to 9 p.m. Sundays Oct. 2 to Oct. 30; 8 to 11 p.m. Oct. 20 and 27, and Nov. 4 at 4125 Mahoning Road, Canton. Family Friendly Monster Mash Halloween Dance — 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. Haunted Schoolhouse and Laboratory — 7:30 to midnight Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 31; 7:30-10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays, Oct. 13 to Oct. 30 and 7:30-10 p.m. Oct. 31 at 1300 Triplett Blvd., Akron. This attraction is regarded as one of the best haunted attractions in the country and among the oldest. General tickets are $17 for one haunted spot, $26 for two on Fridays and Saturdays. Historic Zoar Village’s Haunted Ghost Tours — Oct. 21-22 and Oct. 28-29. Costumed living history interpreters will lead visitors by lantern light through the 200-year-old town and several of its buildings, sharing staff and visitor tales of supernatural encounters. The Masque of the Red Death Macabre Masquerade Ball — 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Akron Civic Theatre, 182 S. Main St. The night begins in the Grand Lobby with food, drink and revelry. The Help and the Hands will perform 8 the 9 p.m. The auditorium will open at 9 p.m. for dancing on the Civic Theatre stage. Massillon Museum “Art after Dark” — 8 p.m. Saturday at the Massillon Museum, 121 Lincoln Way E., Massillon. The Canton Museum of Art and MassMu hold an epic costume party and everyone 18 and older is invited. Tarot readings, stargazing, and street magician will create an uncommon atmosphere.
