You may remember the movie, starring Tyler Perry, shot scenes in†Akron (including Stan†Hywet Hall and Glendale Cemetery) and in†Cleveland last year. (You can find one of †my stories about it here†and some photos here.). It opens in†October, but here's an early look:

The action drama†was inspired†by a character†in a series of novels by††James Patterson, and stars Tyler Perry. You will also see Perry on movie screens tomorrow in his latest production, "Madea's Witness Protection." In a recent email to fans, Perry explained the movie this way:

Just to let you know where this idea came from... I was sitting at dinner with a friend and I said to them, ďthe punishment for Bernie Madoff should have been that he had to move in with Madea." Isnít the thought of that funny? Light bulbs went off in my head, so I wrote THE FUNNIEST Madea movie Iíve ever written. Youíll see! This movie is hilarious. Itís nonstop laughter. I sure hope you have plans to go out and take your family, friends, social and church groups to see MADEAíS WITNESS PROTECTION this weekend. The first weekend is so important. Thatís how youíre judged in Hollywood. And that is how you can help me fight, by showing up at the movie theater this weekend.
