2014 Holiday Tree Festival — Nov. 22-30. 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays and 2-6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. The festival will be held at the John S. Knight Convention Center, 77 E. Mill St., Akron. More than 200 decorated trees, 85,000 strings of lights and other holiday creations will be displayed at the John S. Knight Center to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital. 2014/2015 Dickens Victorian Village Gerald Dickens presents A Christmas Carol — 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center, 7033 Glenn Highway, Cambridge. Gerald Dickens, the great-great grandson of Charles Dickens, will perform his one-man stage adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Tickets are $18. 43rd annual Christkindl Markt — 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 7, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 8 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Canton Cultural Center for the Arts and Canton Museum of Art, 1001 Market Ave. N. Fine arts and crafts show draws artists from across the country offering unique and handcrafted items in all price ranges. Admission is $6 in advance, $7 at the door.
