2015 Holiday Tree Festival — 10 am. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The festival is at the John S. Knight Convention Center, 77 E. Mill St., Akron. More than 200 decorated trees, 85,000 strings of lights and other holiday creations are on display at the John S. Knight Center to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital. 14th annual Sugar Plum Holiday Home Tour — 1-5 p.m. Dec. 6. This year’s tour will showcase six decorated homes in West Akron and Peninsula. General admission tickets are $25 and include the six-home, self-guided tour. Patron tickets are $150 and include the self-guided tour of six homes, an invitation to the private, catered party at an exclusive seventh residence in Bath, as well as a limited-edition Zeber-Martell holiday ornament.
