The grounds of Lake Anna park are filling up with various colors of mums as Barberton's Mum Festival kicks off this weekend.
The 22nd Annual Mum Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The event will featuring more than 80 craft vendors and 30 food vendors and 20,000 chrysanthemums. Twenty-two varieties of mums and two varieties of asters will be on display. .
Eight inch potted mums will sell for $6 per pot or 5 pots for $25. They will also offer pumpkin pots at $4 each, with mums sold separately. Mum patio pots and mum hanging baskets are $20 each. All profits will benefit Barberton Beautification.
The ETC Children's Choir, the New Horizons Band and the Chippewa Lake Water Ski Show team will perform. Hank Peters Lumberjacks will also return to provide lumberjack shows on both days.
A silent auction sponsored by the Barberton Kiwanis Club will also take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Lake Anna Hall.
The Barberton Library will also hold the Fall Book Sale during the festival, including a sale of Barberton memorabilia. Library sale hours during the festival will be 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
