Magician Jeff McBride will present his Las Vegas style magic show “Magic UnMasked” for one night only at Hudson high School, June 9th 2012.

Following the show, McBride will present a special ‘for magicians only’ lecture, teaching some of his unique professional secrets. The following day, McBride will be joined by an intimate group of local magicians for his “Super Session Workshop,” a kind of one-day Hogwarts school for performing magicians.

Jeff McBride was recently named Magician of the Year by Hollywood’s famed Magic Castle. He has set 3 Guinness World Records and was dubbed by the famed organization as having “the world’s fastest hands.” Just over a year ago, McBride’s “Magic at the Edge”received rave reviews in its limited run at the Palace Station Casino in Las Vegas. He has been a regular headliner in Las Vegas for over 20 years, most notably at the Las Vegas Hilton, Golden Nugget and at Caesars Palace.
Television audiences will recognize McBride from recent appearances on Masters of
Illusion and the World Magic Awards. He was also featured on multiple episodes of the
VH1 series Celebra-Cadabra and on the A&E’s Mindfreak. A few years back, he even
had a role written especially for him on “Star Trek – Deep Space Nine”.
In addition to his work as a performer, McBride is a much sought-after lecturer and
workshop leader for such diverse groups as The Smithsonian, The Disney Institute, the
Center for Symbolic Studies and others. He is one of today’s foremost teachers of magic, and is the founder and creator of the McBride Magic & Mystery School. He is the recipient of “Lecturer of the Year” from the Academy of Magical Arts, and was named by The Magic Circle as “possibly the most influential magical artist of our times.”
McBride is brought to Akron by the not-for-profit Akron Magical Arts Society. Started over 50 years ago as the Zeppelin Magic Club, its work includes bringing magic to children’s hospitals and schools.
