 CUYAHOGA FALLS: The Cuyahoga Falls Library will observe banned books week with a contest for teens beginning Sunday.


Teens caught by library staff reading a banned book and those who submit a photo of themselves reading a banned book will be entered to win a $20 Books-A-Million gift certificate. The contest ends Oct. 6.

At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Cindy Yoakum, founder of LightWorks Medical Intuition and Healing, will introduce participants to Indigo and Crystal Children.
 
Advocates for love and peace on this planet, Indigo and Crystal Children’s main purpose is to take us to the next level in our evolution and reveal to us our inner and higher power. They function as a group consciousness rather than as individuals, and they live by the “law of one," or global oneness.
 
Learn basic computer skills and how to search the Internet on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Registration is required for the class.
 
Beginning Oct. 6 and continuing on Saturdays through Oct. 27, children in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to read to certified therapy dogs between 11 a.m. and noon in the children's department. Kids who attend all four sessions will receive a "pawtographed" book.
