Howard Hannas Brunswick office reopens to fanfare

The newly renovated Brunswick office of Howard Hanna Real Estate celebrated a grand reopening from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 19. Company, corporate and community dignitaries, company clients and their families, and Realtors and other associates were among the 125 guests in attendance. All enjoyed valet parking, heavy hors doeuvres and cocktails.

The before-and-after difference of the Howard Hanna-designed renovation was cause to celebrate. We survived the dust, said Tina Grant, office manager, noting that agents worked through the entire three-months of construction by Knight Development, which owns the building.

We went from early 80s colonial blue with lots of dark, narrow halls to an open, airy concept, she said. We knocked down almost every wall, took out the ceiling and started with a brand-new fresh canvas. All-new interior and exterior windows channel natural light to 35 cubicles. Both agents and clients enjoy an open caf area.

About eight agents have sign up since we remodeled, said Grant. They see that we are investing in Brunswick.

Tremco introduces new construction code app

BEACHWOOD, Ohio On March 19, Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance introduced TremCode energy code app that can be used on both iPhones and iPads. Company sales representatives will use the app to help answer customer questions about state-specific construction codes.

The TremCode energy code app contains up-to-the-minute International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) information for all 50 states, said John Breidenbach, company market development manager for architecture. New or revised energy codes are constantly being adopted, which makes knowing the current code an uncertainty and tracking the entire country daunting, a real problem for facility professionals who are responsible for buildings in multiple states.

With the TremCode energy code app, our sales representatives can access the latest edition of the IECC, locate the climate zone for their account, and with a final tap calculate critical information like the proper R-value for the roofing solution being proposed or whether an air barrier or white, reflective roof may be required, said Breidenbach.

The app will also benefit members of the design community, according to Breidenbach. Design professionals are often overwhelmed with collecting pertinent, up-to-date information, especially at the start of a project. With the TremCode energy code app, our representatives are uniquely positioned to be a vital resource when the question of appropriate roofing solutions and R-value inevitably comes up during the design process.

The release of the TremCode energy code app marks the beginning of the next generation of how we will distribute, share and use information to help our customers make major roofing decisions. Plans are underway to expand the app into Canada and add dew point capabilities for all of North America.
