‘Glee’ star charged with child porn
Former Glee star Mark Salling, 33, who played Noah “Puck” Puckerman, has been charged with two counts of child pornography.
Federal prosecutors announced Friday that Salling was charged with one count of receiving a video and still photo of child porn and a second of possessing two videos depicting child porn. They say the images depict young girls.
Prosecutors say the actor has agreed to surrender next Friday, at which time he’s expected to be arraigned in federal court. If convicted he could face up to 20 years in prison on each count.
Depp told to stay away from wife
A judge ordered Johnny Depp to stay away from his estranged wife after she accused the actor of hitting her during a fight.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carl H. Moor also ruled that Depp shouldn’t try to contact Amber Heard until a hearing is conducted June 17.
Heard said in a sworn declaration that Depp threw her cellphone at her during a fight Saturday, striking her cheek and eye. She submitted a picture of her bruised face when she applied for a restraining order Friday. She also wrote that the actor pulled her hair, screamed at her and repeatedly hit her.
‘Sorry,’ but Bieber’s being sued
Justin Bieber and Skrillex have been sued for copyright infringement by singer-songwriter Casey Dienel for the multiplatinum song Sorry.
Dienel, who performs as White Hinterland, filed suit against the two performers and their publishing companies, Universal Music and co-writers in federal court in Nashville, Tenn., on Wednesday. The suit claims Sorry uses a vocal riff from her song Ring the Bell.
