Hawn reveals secret of relationship

Goldie Hawn says the key to her successful 33-year Hollywood romance with Kurt Russell is that they never got married.

The actress appeared on the chat show Loose Women on Britain’s ITV on Monday. She says she “would have been long divorced” if she had gotten married. She says choosing not to get married “gives you the freedom to make decisions one way or the other,” adding that she and Russell “liked the choice.”

Hawn has a son, Wyatt, with Russell and two children from her marriage to Bill Hudson: Oliver and Kate Hudson.

Lopez to judge TV dance series

Jennifer Lopez is stepping in front of the camera for NBC’s new World of Dance competition series.

The network said Wednesday that Lopez will be a judge, a role she had on American Idol. She was previously announced as an executive producer for World of Dance.

The 10-episode series will challenge contestants to demonstrate their skills in an unlimited range of dance. The winner gets $1 million.

Petty to receive music honor

Tom Petty will be honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year next year days before the Grammy Awards.

The Recording Academy announced that Petty will receive the prestigious honor in Los Angeles on Feb. 10. The Grammy Awards will air Feb. 12 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

‘SNL’ makes YUGE decision

Saturday Night Live has chosen Alec Baldwin to impersonate GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. NBC announced the deal Wednesday with a promo on social media, just days before SNL begins its 42nd season.

Baldwin, a veteran SNL guest host, will debut his Trump impression opposite cast member Kate McKinnon’s continuing turn as Clinton.

NBC also announced that Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton will host on Oct. 8.
