Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ stings competition

Drake’s Scorpion has set a record for most one-day streams for an album on Apple Music.

The streaming platform says the album has logged more than 170 million streams worldwide since its release Friday, more than doubling Drake’s prior one-day record on Apple Music with last year’s More Life.

The 25-track Scorpion includes the No. 1 hits Nice for What and God’s Plan. It features Michael Jackson on a previously unreleased track as well as collaborations with Jay-Z and Ty Dolla $ign.

The rapper celebrated the new album over the weekend with his posse in Miami, arriving Friday night at club E11EVEN Miami with a crew of more than 50, including rapper Party Next Door and hip-hop producer Murda Beatz.

The album is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Jennings thanks fans after surgery

Transgender rights activist and television star Jazz Jennings says she is doing great following gender confirmation surgery.

The 17-year-old I Am Jazz star posted a photo of herself in a hospital gown on Instagram. She thanked followers for their “love and support.”

In a YouTube video last month, she said she was looking forward to the surgery and had been ready for it “my entire life.”

Jennings has been the star of the TLC show since 2015. She and her parents co-founded the TransKids Purple Rainbow Foundation, which helps transgender youth, in 2007.
