‘Glee’ ex-star Lea Michele is engaged

Actress and singer Lea Michele has announced her engagement to boyfriend Zandy Reich with a social media photo of a diamond ring on her finger and the word “Yes.”

A representative of the former star of Glee said Saturday that Reich, president of clothing company AYR, proposed with a 4-carat elongated radian cut ring that he personally helped design. They’ve been dating more than a year.

Michele is gearing up for a tour with fellow Glee alumnus Darren Criss.

Joy Reid apologizes for LGBTQ posts

Joy Reid of MSNBC, under fire for homophobic language in old blog posts, apologized Saturday for any past comments that belittled or mocked the LGBTQ community and says she hasn’t been able to verify her claim that her account was hacked.

Reid opened her weekend show AM Joy by acknowledging she has said “dumb” and “hurtful” things in the past. “The person I am now is not the person I was then,” she said.

But she was unable to explain blog posts from a decade ago that mocked gay people and individuals who were allegedly gay. Reid has denied posting them altogether but says security experts she hired who looked into whether she had been a hacking victim found no proof.

Jazz fest honors Fats Domino

Fats Domino was remembered in death as he lived his life — with music.

Al “Lil Fats” Jackson played the classic Domino song Blueberry Hill as crowds gathered Saturday at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival’s ancestor area to remember Domino, who died last year.

The festival unveiled a painting of Domino sitting at his piano to join the other paintings of luminaries associated with the festival who have passed away.
