Winemaker Michael Pozzan has done it again with his 2015 Giapoza cabernet ($15.99). Bellissimo! The wine is named after his granddaughter Gianna Pozzan, the fifth generation of their winemaking family. It’s one of the best cabernets I have had under $20. Priced for everyday drinking, it delivers a real bang for your money. Think blueberry cobbler and luscious dark fruit. A small wedge of Beemster cheese only adds to the excitement. It also went well with arugula salad and balsamic vinegar, and a thick cut chop. See if you can outrun me to the wine shop.

Buy it at West Point Market, Fishers on Fulton, North End Market Hudson, and by the glass at Beau’s Grille in Fairlawn. Questions? Send to philyourglass@gmail.com.
