Thriller at the library

This week’s free Movies@Main is The Commuter at the Akron-Summit County Public Library in downtown Akron. The free movie tells the tale of a businessman (Liam Neeson) caught up in a murder plot. The movie will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The street’s a stage

The Summit StageFest will take over the street in Akron’s Highland Square Saturday afternoon. The free outdoor festival of live theater will include performances by a variety of Northeast Ohio theater groups. It runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more, visit stagefest.org.

Calling all pop culture fans

Geekfest 2018 Mini Comic-Con is Saturday at the Akron-Summit County Public Library in downtown Akron. There will be cosplay contests, speakers and a costume parade. A retro game parlor will be set up along with a green screen to pose for photos and even a Ramen noodle eating contest. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. The library is at 60 S. High St. in Akron. Time to chill

There is Yoga on the West Terrace at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens on Sunday. The session will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $16. Cool jazz

Diana Krall’s Turn Up the Quiet World Tour 2018 will be at the Akron Civic Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Krall is a Grammy-winning jazz pianist and singer. Tickets range from $59.50 to $110. For more, visit akroncivic.com.

Zoo event
