Oscar contender showing

The Canton Palace Theatre’s series of “Award Nominated Films” continues with the coming-of-age tale Lady Bird, showing at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Saturday and also next weekend. Foundation’s local art auction

The Andrea Rose Teodosio Foundation holds its Angel Art Auction from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the John S. Knight Center, in downtown Akron.
