‘Maltese Falcon’ celebrates 75th

The Maltese Falcon turns 75 this year. Adapted from the detective-novel classic by Dashiell Hammett, the film stars Humphrey Bogart as private eye Sam Spade who becomes part of the search for the jewel-encrusted statue of a falcon. John Huston directed and wrote the screenplay; the cast also includes Mary Astor and Peter Lorre. It’s consistently ranked among the best movies of all time. Teen pop-opera singers Il Volo
