See a touring poetry show

The Summit Artspace, 140 E. Market St. in Akron, will play host to Honolulu-born Samoan poet William Alfred Nu’utupu Giles. He will bring his touring poetry show Until Names Become Prayer that includes music, dance, theater and visual arts. The show starts at 7 p.m. Monday.

Feed your inner ogre

Ogrefest 2018 begins at 4 p.m. Monday at The Brew Kettle Hudson. The event is a celebration of “bold” beers and “big” food “fit” for an ogre. There will be high-gravity beers from Imperial Stouts to Barleywines to Imperial IPAs to Old ales. The menu will include smoked-dinner specials.
