Local author talks latest novel

Cleveland Heights author Paula McLain’s historical novels focus on strong, complicated women. Her latest, Love and Ruin, focuses on Ernest Hemingway’s third wife, Martha Gellhorn (it’s a sequel of sorts to her best-selling The Paris Wife, about Hemingway’s first wife, Hadley Richardson). She’ll speak at 7 p.m. at the Hudson Library & Historical Society. Register for this free program at 330-653-6658, ext. 1010, or hudsonlibrary.org.
