Annual Piano-a-thon fundraiser

Akron Children’s Hospital holds its 18th annual Piano-a-thon, Kids are the Key, Thursday and Friday as well as Monday through June 8 in the hospital lobby. Local farmers markets open

Farmers market season is ramping up, with early spring veggies just starting to arrive. Countryside Farmers’ Market starts at 4 p.m. Thursday in Will Christy Park at Exchange and North Rose in the Highland Square neighborhood of Akron. And the Copley Creekside Farmers Market opens its season at 3 p.m. at 1245 S. Cleveland Massillon Road.
