Louis Markos, a C.S. Lewis scholar, will speak at churches in Stow, Cuyahoga Falls and Kent on Wednesday and Thursday.
A professor of English at Houston Baptist University, Markos will present his perspective of how Lewis’ work (including the Narnia tales) mounts a Christian response to topics like science and the natural world, the new age movement, philosophy, evil and suffering, the arts and heaven and hell.
Markos is the author of Lewis Agonistes: How C.S. Lewis Can Train Us to Wrestle With the Modern and Postmodern World (B&H Books, 2003) and co-writer of a screenplay on C.S. Lewis (The Lion Awakes), which highlights his friendship with J.R.R. Tolkien. His new book, On the Shoulders of Hobbits: On the Road to Virtue With C.S. Lewis and J.R.R.
