Sustainable farming and gardening are among the topics that will be addressed at the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association’s 35th annual conference, Affirming Our Roots, Breaking New Ground.

The conference is Feb. 15 and 16 at Granville middle and high schools in Licking County.

More than 100 workshops will be offered, along with a trade show, entertainment, a teen conference and children’s activities. Keynote speakers will be Atina Diffley, an organic farmer, consultant, activist and author, and Kathleen Merrigan, a former U.S. deputy secretary of agriculture.

For those who register by Jan. 31, the cost for the basic event is $145 for OEFFA members and $205 for others. After that date, the prices increase to $160 and $220, respectively. There are different prices for students and those attending only one day, and additional costs for meals and a pre-conference event.

Details and an online registration form are at www.oeffa.org.
