You scream. I scream. We all scream for McNab chardonnay and a scoop of vanilla ice cream? You better believe it! Winemaker Rich Parducci made the suggestion while pouring his wines on a recent trip to Akron.

Let the kids have their root beer floats. The grown-ups can sip chardonnay with a scoop of classic vanilla ice cream topped with Smucker’s caramel sauce. Actually, the wine’s vanilla and toasted caramel nuances went well with cheesecake topped with the same caramel sauce.

Any time you can enjoy a glass of wine with an appetizer and a dessert, you certainly have something special. Skip the main course.

The $14.99 price makes it a scream, too. Buy it at West Point Market, Papa Joe’s, Kirbie’s in Stow and Zagara’s Marketplace in Cleveland Heights.
