Ground Beef and Cabbage

Pita Sandwiches

4 strips bacon

1 lb. lean ground beef

1 bag coleslaw mix

1 small onion, minced

3 tbsp. brown sugar

3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

Pitas

Chop the bacon into small pieces. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, saute it with the onion until the onion is translucent. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking up the beef with a spatula, until it and the bacon are brown.

Add the slaw mix, the brown sugar, and the vinegar and cook the mixture until the slaw is cooked and tender. Stir and toss regularly as it cooks.

Serve the mixture in pita halves.
