The annual Madrigal Dinners at St. Pauls Episcopal Church will be Friday through Dec. 8 at the church at 1361 W. Market St., Akron.

The dinner, hosted in a traditionally decorated Tudor hall, will include a four-course feast of pates, meats, vegetables, pastries and ales. Music by Morley, Vittoria and Des Pres will be performed by members of the churchs Choir of Men and Boys and the Saint Cecilia Girls Choir.

Tickets are $45 and can be ordered at www.akronmadrigals.org or by calling 330-836-9327, ext. 36.

Proceeds will benefit the St. Pauls Choir Travel Fund and will be used by the choirs for travel to Cambridgeshire, England, in July to sing at Ely Cathedral.

Membership to either of the choirs is free and open to any school-age child older than 8 years old, regardless of religious affiliation.

Stow Presbyterian Church 4150 Fishcreek Road, Stow. 7 p.m. Wednesday. Paul Stutzman, a native of Holmes County who hiked 3,000 miles of the Appalachian Trail following the death of his wife, Mary, in 2008, will discuss faith and family. Stutzman kept a journal of his experiences which contributed to his book, Hiking Through. He also completed a cross-country cycling journey after the hike.
