Super Wash Car Washes FoodRaiser — Throughout May, select Super Wash car washes will hold a FoodRaiser to raise money for local food pantries. Seventh annual Hail to the Chefs Preview Gala — 7-11 p.m. at Lake Forest Country Club, 100 Lake Forest Drive, Hudson. Area chefs will serve preview samples of their selections for Taste of Hudson, the two-day food and entertainment festival on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2-3. 5K Run for the Paws — Registration starts at 7 a.m. at Goodyear Heights Metro Park, 2077 Newton St., Akron. All proceeds go to the Stark County Humane Society. Sixth annual Masterpieces on Main Art & Wine Festival — Noon to 10 p.m. in downtown Kent. North Water Street will be closed from Main Street to Columbus Avenue, and local musicians will perform at the Hometown Bank Plaza all day long. Admission to the event is free, and for $10, event-goers can purchase a commemorative wine glass and three “taste” tickets to be used at their choice of five winery tents. MOSAIC: A Tradition of Shaping Lives Exhibit Grand Opening and Black Tie Gala — 5-10 p.m. at President’s Hall in the Akron Urban League. The gala celebrates the grand opening of the exhibit, which documents the Akron Urban League’s quest for unity and equality in its early history from 1925-1975 and is based on the research and doctoral dissertation of the late Dr. Shirla McClain. Barberton Kiwanis Golf Outing — June 6 at Brookside Country Club, 3727 Golf Course Road, Norton. Continental breakfast, lunch, drink, dinner and 18 holes of golf and a cart. Shaw JCC of Akron Golf Outing Fundraiser — June 18 at Portage Country Club.
