COLUMBUS: Authorities are investigating a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle that left two people dead in central Ohio.

Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott says a Hyundai Sonata was attempting to turn left on Monday morning when a motorcycle struck the front, passenger door.

The sheriff’s office says the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 24-year-old passenger of the car was transferred to a local hospital where she died.

Scott says the 19-year-old driver of the vehicle also was transported to the hospital, where she is in stable condition.

Authorities say neither drugs nor alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.
