Police are seeking the public’s help to identify the shooter in an attack at PK’s Lounge on Saturday night.

Two men — ages 42 and 51 — were transported to Summa Akron City Hospital with serious injuries around midnight. Neither man was listed in the hospital’s records on Tuesday, meaning they have been released or have opted out of the public listing.

Police reported the shooting happened after there was a fight at the bar, 631 Howard St. The 42-year-old man, who works as a bouncer at the bar, cleared out the patrons after the fight. One patron returned with a gun and opened fire.

The 42-year-old victim, an Akron man, was found inside the bar. The other man, from Barberton, was a patron at the bar and was found just southwest on West Tallmadge Avenue.

The shooting remains under investigation. Part of the investigation includes identifying whether the shooting of another man that night was related to the bar shooting.

In that case, a 28-year-old Lorain man drove himself to Akron Children’s Hospital with gunshot wounds to the left shoulder and left knee. Police reported on Tuesday that the man will not cooperate with the investigation.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call Akron police at 330-375-2490.
