Akron police are investigating two Tuesday night shootings that left three men injured.
The shootings do not appear to be connected, police said.
The first shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Cole Avenue, where two men said they were struck in the leg by gunfire as they walked through the neighborhood.
The victims, ages 48 and 55, were unable to provide a description of the gunman. They were treated for their injuries at Summa Akron City Hospital.
About the same time, a 27-year-old man said he was sitting in a car in the 800 block of Rosamond Avenue when four men approached. One of the men suddenly pulled out a handgun and opened fire, striking the victim in the hand. He was treated at Akron General Medical Center.
No suspects have been identified in either shooting.
