An Akron teenager is charged with robbery after police say he knocked a man to the ground and stole his bicycle Tuesday night.

The 16-year-old boy is being held in the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center on delinquency charges of robbery.

The teen was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. after a 25-year-old man told police he was knocked to the ground and robbed of his bicycle while riding on South Arlington Street. The man said he chased the teen until the boy stopped and pulled out a knife.

The victim then flagged down a police officer in the neighborhood.

Police eventually found the teen near the intersection of Bulger Street and Forbes Avenue.
