Akron police arrested five people and seized more than $11,000 in cash inside a suspected meth house.

The raid happened about 4 p.m. Monday at a house in the 1000 block of North Main Street where neighbors had alleged that methamphetamine was being produced.

Police obtained a search warrant and recovered the cash, 25 grams of methamphetamine and a large amount of chemicals used to manufacture the drug.

Arrested by police were Shawn C. Smith, 37, Michael C. Stewart, 47, Caitlin J. Sullivan, 28, Michael R. Small, 46, and Aaron P. Leslie, 36. They are charged with illegal manufacturing of methamphetamine, illegal assembly of chemicals, trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.
