Akron police are looking for a 19-year-old Akron man who is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulting her.

Police signed warrants for felonious assault and aggravated burglary for Antonio L. Blackshear of Rentar Lane.

Officers responded to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Friday for an assault patient. The 20-year-old woman told officers her ex-boyfriend climbed onto her balcony, opened her sliding glass door and assaulted her.

She suffered a fractured jaw and had signs of strangulation, police say.

Anyone who knows Blackshear’s whereabouts is asked to call the Akron Police Department’s Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490; the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-866-4-WANTED; or the Summit County Crimestoppers Inc. at 330-434-COPS. Tipsters also can text TIPSCO to 274637 (CRIMES). Callers may remain anonymous.
