An Akron woman is accused of filing two years worth of false income tax returns.

Kelly Prigmore, 42, has been charged with two counts of making and subscribing false federal income tax returns for the years 2006 and 2007.

Steven M. Dettelbach, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, said investigators found that Prigmore worked as a self-employed home health care provider for a client who paid her for live-in 24 hour services.

When Prigmore filed income tax returns those years, Dettelbach said, she omitted approximately $209,601 in income.

Authorities say in 2006, she reported total income of $8,600 and omitted additional income of approximately $96,806. For 2007, she reported total income of $8,990 and omitted additional income of approximately $112,795.
