BARBERTON: Shining a laser at a neighbor’s surveillance camera has resulted in a summons to Barberton Municipal Court.

Police said the Princeton Avenue man was mailed a summons for criminal mischief after an incident in which the neighbor told police the motion sensor on one of his cameras was disabled as a result of a laser being directed at it on Aug. 19.

On Aug. 22, the victim showed police video copied from his equipment. Police then talked with the suspect, who then admitted to shining the laser at the camera.
