COPLEY: Registration forms for the Copley Safety Town program are due by July 1.

The Copley Police Department is hosting Copley Safety Town from July 8 through July 12 at Copley Middle School, 1531 South Cleveland-Massillon Road.

Safety Town is a five-day educational program for children who will be starting kindergarten in the fall that teaches them safety lessons about fire, pedestrians and traffic, and more. Children will experience and practice various situations to help them recognize and deal with unsafe situations.

Two sessions will be held, the first one from 9-11:30 a.m. and the second from 1-3:30 p.m. The first session is currently filled, but spots are still available for the second session. Contact Sandra Sattler-Bittner at 330-670-2725 for more information.

Registration is limited to children living in Copley Township or within the Copley-Fairlawn City School District. The form can be found here. Fairlawn residents are encouraged to attend the Fairlawn Safety Town sessions. To find out when and where those sessions will be held, call 330-668-9589, ext. 491.
