Council members Nov. 19 asked the city to look into sharing expenses on major projects across departments, reports the Hudson Hub Times.
It was the second of two meetings held by council members to discuss the 2014 five-year budget. The budgect will be reviewed Dec. 2 and Dec. 5, and council will vote on Dec. 18.
Suggestions for changes so far have included paying for upgrades to Town Hall's cameras out of the general fund, and splitting budgeting costs for larger projects, including road repair and traffic signal upgrades
City Engineer Thom Sheridan reminded council that it is possible to itemize costs by department in order to charge each department the appropriate cost.
