A Moeller Avenue man, 43, was charged with aggravated burglary, felonious assault and domestic violence after he allegedly knocked on the door of his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and identified himself as building security. When the woman opened the door, the man allegedly lunged at her with a knife, cutting her hands and face. She escaped to another apartment, but the ex-boyfriend chased her and assaulted her again, police said.

A Clifford Avenue man, 30, was charged with felonious assault after he allegedly struck a man in the head with a clothes iron, fracturing his skull.

A Delia Avenue man, 22, was charged with aggravated robbery after he allegedly held up a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint and took $25.

A Bloomfield Avenue man, 45, was charged with possessing weapons illegally and obstructing justice after he allegedly fired five gunshots in his backyard. Police reported finding shell casings inside and outside his home.

A Victory Street man, 32, was charged with possessing weapons illegally and carrying a concealed weapon after police pulled over a car and noticed an assault rifle sticking out from a mat beneath the passenger’s seat.

A Marion Place man, 20, was charged with possessing weapons illegally and carrying a concealed weapon after police pulled over a vehicle and found a loaded assault rifle under the front passenger seat.

A Blaine Avenue man, 33, was charged with tampering with evidence, obstructing official business and carrying a concealed weapon. Police said he was the driver of a car that left an accident scene. During his arrest, he allegedly removed a knife from his sleeve and threw it on the ground.

A Talbot Avenue man, 29, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling in a motor vehicle during a traffic stop at Baird and Inman streets. He told police he had a gun under his seat, but his concealed carry permit was suspended.

A Memorial Parkway man, 19, was charged with burglary after he allegedly stole two guns from a Kathleen Street home and sold them to a merchant.

An Akron woman, 31, was charged with tampering with evidence after she allegedly presented false identification and forged court documents when obtaining a bond.

A Pitkin Avenue man, 21, was charged with receiving stolen property after he was pulled over in a vehicle that was reported stolen from a Circle K on North Main Street.

A South Walnut Street man, 39, was charged with receiving stolen property after police stopped him on Easter Avenue in a stolen vehicle.

An Akron man, 45, was charged with theft and escape after he failed to return to the Cuyahoga Falls jail after being permitted to go to a hospital for treatment. He had jail property in his possession.

An Akron man, 19, was charged with falsification Nov. 27 after he allegedly filed a false accident report.

Arson

Someone set fire Nov. 26 to a pile of leaves and a fence next to a home in the 100 block of Saxe Avenue.

Misuse of a credit card

Someone took two credit cards Nov. 28 taken from the men’s locker room at the YMCA on Broad Boulevard and made $2,300 in unauthorized purchases.

A Second Street woman told police Nov. 26 that someone took her debit card and used it to make $200 in unauthorized withdrawals.

A Sackett Avenue woman told police Nov. 26 that someone withdrew more than $2,500 from her checking account.

Theft

A 21st Street man told police Nov. 21 that another man borrowed $3,700 in construction equipment but did not return it.

A Broad Boulevard woman, 22, told police Nov. 26 that someone stole $2,800 from her.

Someone took 39 plastic light covers and fluorescent bulbs Nov. 26-28 from an apartment building in the 1800 block of Second Street.

An employee of an East Broadway Street care center is suspected of taking medication from a cart.

A Wunderlich Avenue man, 19, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 22 after he allegedly hit his father in the head several times.

An Austin Court man, 28, was charged with domestic violence and disrupting public services Nov. 22 after he allegedly ripped a phone out of a wall, grabbed his wife by her shirt and threatened to beat her.

An East Hopocan Avenue man, 32, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 20 after he allegedly choked the mother of his child in the All About Kids Day Care and Preschool on Second Street Southeast.

A Norton man, 49, of Norton Avenue, was charged with felonious assault Nov. 18 following a fight outside the Knotty Pine bar on Fourth Street Southwest.

Rape

A woman, 20, told police Nov. 22 that two men raped her in her apartment on Thanksgiving Day. She said they also threw food and beverages against the walls and ceiling.

Thefts

A Third Street Northwest resident told police Nov. 23 that $1,327 in jewelry is missing from her home.

Someone stole $1,800 worth of brake drums from Pinnacle Recycling on Wooster Road North.

A Copley Meadows man, 29, was charged with theft Nov. 20 after he allegedly tried to take two window blinds, total value $25, from Home Depot.

A Westwick Way man, 41, told police someone opened several credit cards in his name without his permission. He is canceling the accounts.

The manager of West Gymnastics told police Nov. 21 about a case of possible child abuse.

An Akron woman, 25, was charged with theft Nov. 27 after she allegedly tried to steal $138 worth of goods from Macy’s by hiding it in a stroller.

An Akron man, 32, was charged with theft Nov. 27 after he allegedly picked up a Dell laptop computer and tried to run out of Walmart.

Theft

Someone smashed windows on two vehicles Nov. 26 outside Max and Erma’s Restaurant. Missing from one car was a backpack containing three textbooks and an Apple Mac. Missing from the other car was a briefcase containing a BlackBerry. Total value of stolen items was $2,410.

Someone used a Heron Water Drive man’s PNC bank credit card to purchase $1,870 in items, a deputy was told Nov. 16.

Vandalism

Vandals caused $3,600 in damage to a computer Nov. 22 at the Sheetz gas station and convenience store on East Turkeyfoot Lake Road. Someone punched a wrong key, causing the damage.

A Taplin Avenue man told police that someone took $544 from his bank account and spent it in Italy.

An Albrecht Avenue woman, 38, was charged with felony domestic violence Nov. 17 after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend, injuring his eye, nose and cheek.

A Cuyahoga Falls man, 40, of Wilson Street, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 26 after he allegedly called a township resident several times, threatening to kill a woman.

A Utica Avenue man was charged with domestic violence and drug possession Nov. 17 after he allegedly struck his wife in the side of the head. Police said he had drugs and paraphernalia.

Identity fraud

A Narrow Way resident told police Nov. 20 that someone used her ID to open a credit-card account and racked up $1,200 in bills from Home Depot.

A Stow man, 27, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 27 after he allegedly assaulted a woman Nov. 18.

A man, 25, and woman, 24, were charged with theft and obstructing official business Nov. 20 after they allegedly took nearly $900 in video games from Walmart, 3520 Hudson Drive.

A Tallmadge man, 61, was arrested Nov. 26 on a warrant alleging the use of a weapon while intoxicated.

Building material and chairs are among the items stolen from a building in the 4400 block of Fishcreek Road between Oct. 1 and Nov. 26.

Someone tried to enter a home in the 2300 block of Echo Valley Drive Nov. 20.

A Lakeview Boulevard man told police Nov. 27 that someone used his personal information to open a credit account, and then charged $1,800.

The manager of a Kent Road paint store reported Nov. 26 that someone illegally charged more than $4,600 to the store’s account.

An Akron man, 28, was charged with possession of chemicals used in the manufacturing of drugs Nov. 21. Police found the man sitting in a disabled car on Interstate 76. A computer check revealed that he was wanted on warrants in Kent. An inventory search of the vehicle netted chemicals used to make methamphetamine.

A Kent man, 26, was charged with illegal assembly of chemicals to manufacture drugs Nov. 26.

Breaking and entering

A Midway Plaza rental shop was broken into Nov. 26. It was not immediately known if anything was taken.

Someone broke into a home Nov. 22 in the 100 block of Ernest Drive and stole jewelry.

A video game system was stolen Nov. 23 from a Northeast Avenue apartment.

A North Alling Road man told police Nov. 21 that someone used his personal information to open accounts with utility companies in Michigan.

A Bolivar woman, 40, was arrested in Tuscarawas County on a Jackson warrant Nov. 21 alleging she endangered children.

A Malabu Avenue Northwest man, 28, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 18 after he allegedly threatened to kill his wife and put a machete to her throat.

A Barberton man, 20, of North Van Buren Avenue, was arrested on a Jackson warrant alleging he received stolen property.

A Perry Township man, 35, of Ambrose Avenue Northwest, was charged with aggravated menacing and aggravated trespassing Nov. 16 after he allegedly pushed his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home on Casper Avenue Northwest and threatened her.

A laptop computer and DVD player, total value $650, were reported stolen Nov. 15 from a South Boulevard Northwest home.

Tools and a generator, total value $4,543, were stolen Nov. 13 from a Westminster Circle Northwest garage.

Identity fraud

A Castlebar Street Northwest woman told police Nov. 15 that someone used her Visa debit card to make $595 in illegal purchases at a Walmart in Leicester, Mass.

Theft

A flat-screen TV, Blu-ray player and a stereo, total value $650, were stolen Nov. 12 from an Echo Valley Street Northwest home.

A Cuyahoga Falls man, 22, of Second Street, was charged with assault, stalking, aggravated menacing and criminal endangering Nov. 18. Police said he rammed his vehicle into a woman’s car on state Route 93, then pounded on the woman’s hood and threatened to shoot her.

An East Maple Street man, 48, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 23 after he allegedly struck his wife.

A Lakeside Avenue Northwest woman, 35, was charged with felonious menacing and disorderly conduct Nov. 23 after she allegedly threatened to hurt a roommate.

A Blackburn Road Northwest man, 40, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 21 after he allegedly pushed his father and knocked down his mother, causing head and back injuries.

A telephone harassment warrant was filed Nov. 20 against a Boettler Street Northeast man.

A robber entered the Lucky Heaven 777 on Columbus Road Northeast and left with $818 and a $600 cellphone, a store official reported Nov. 19.

A Castle View Street Northwest man told police Nov. 20 that someone made $599 in purchases in New York City on his Capital One credit card.

Someone broke windows and entered two homes Nov. 23 in the 3600 block of Eastern Road, Chippewa Township, but nothing was missing. Total damage was $600.

Identity fraud

A Chippewa Township man told deputies Nov. 20 that he sent $230 to someone who called him on the telephone. The call was a scam.

Thefts

A $1,500 log splitter chained to a tree was reported stolen Nov. 21 from a yard in the 10100 block of Akron Road, Milton Township.

Two saws and a gas can, total value $1,804, were reported stolen Nov. 22 from Wenger Excavating, 7309 McQuaid Road, East Union Township.

Wooster

Arrest

A Wooster woman, 30, was charged with possessing criminal tools, theft and falsification Nov. 26 after she allegedly took four Polaroid tablets from Kohl’s, 3792 Burbank Road.

Burglaries

Toy cars, two stereos and a chain saw, total value $1,585, were reported taken Nov. 25 from a home in the 300 block of East South Street.

A Maiden Lane resident reported Nov. 25 that someone forced open a door to a home but nothing was taken.

Theft

An employee at Dino’s Drive Thru, 429 E. Liberty St., is accused of stealing $96,000 in cash and another $96,000 in merchandise over four years. The theft was reported Nov. 20.
