We need

to talk!

The Beacon Journal is leading a public conversation about heroin in our community from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the John S. Knight Center in downtown Akron. There will be a presentation from a panel and time for your questions and participation.

The city of Akron is offering free parking for the event. Gates will be raised at 120 S. Broadway, 40 S. High St. and 32 S. High St. after 5 p.m.

To start the conversation, we have been publishing stories about heroin in our community. Those stories may be found at www.ohio.com/news/heroin.

We also have created an event on the Akron Beacon Journal Facebook page (http://bit.ly/2bjjIEr) to let people know about Thursday’s discussion.

This in an important conversation for our community.

Please join us.
