COLUMBUS: Gas prices remain higher around Ohio after the Memorial Day weekend and the increased travel that accompanies it.
A gallon of regular gas was averaging $2.46 in Tuesday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s up about 3 cents from a week ago and 15 cents from a month ago.
It’s also higher than the updated national average of $2.32.
The price of oil topped $50 a barrel last week for the first time since July. However, analysts expect gasoline and airline fares to stay relatively low at least through the summer travel season.
